Cant enter boot menu!

Hello,
I have Ubuntu installed on my hard drive and i'm trying to enter the boot menu on my motherboard but it just stays in the "entering boot menu'" screen. Any help?
I have a MSI 870-g45 motherboard

Does it boot normally, or does it always hang in grub2 (the bootloader) on any boot, not just when attempting to enter the boot menu?

I have Ubuntu installed but i'm trying to install windows 7 through the cd. I can boot up to ubuntu, but it wont enter the boot menu. Its stuck in the mainboard screen in right after i turn it on. After I press f11 for the boot menu, it gets stuck and says "entering boot menu". I haven't updated the bios, could that be it?

Unlikely that it's due to un-updated BIOS, according to this thread, disabling USB keyboards in BIOS can cause issues entering the boot menu. You also may wish to try to reinstall/repair grub2

The other thing a BIOS update can do is take you back to system defaults and change drive order. Might well be worth getting hold of a PS/2 keyboard and giving that a try to get into the BIOS as bmourning mentions.
