Noob installing two xp operating systems.

I am trying to install two xp pro operating systems, on two seperate hard-drives. My question? How can you make the seperate drives non-accessible to each other? I can choose my operating system upon start-up, But I want the drives non-accessible to each other. does it matter? Can viruses spread from os to os? How may I achieve this?

The simple solution is to use Disk Management to unassign the drive letter from the "other" installation.

It would be possible, in theory, for a virus to get around this but whether any, in practice, go to that much trouble is another matter.

It wont let me uninstall the drive. How would i achieve this?
