So i currently have 1 7900GT and im looking at running SLI, but i want a new card and any 7900GT cost way to much any more so i was thinking of getting either a 7900GS and turn my 7900GT into a GS or get a 7950GT and turn it into a 7900GT. So i was wondering if it is worth the extra 50 bucks and 8 pixel shaders?

Better recommendation:
Sell your current 7900GT & get a 8800Series graphics card(GTS320MB/GTS640MB/GTX) instead!

my case is not large enough for an 8800 series card, but yes a smarter thing to do would be to sell my 7900GT and buy 2 8600GTS, but i was wondering about my 7900 series card.

That's the stupidest thing to do!
8600Series graphics cards suck!
Why you want to go with SLI?
Anyway, i would go for a bigger case+8800GTS 320MB if i were you!

I agree on all points there.

8600 = Abysmal.
SLI = Pointless ATM

Sell the 7900GT and get a proper case and an 8800GTS.
