32 bit or 64 bit?

I seriously don't know what to do here. I am going to get the OEM version for sure though, but I'm worried about the compatiblity with programs games etc.. You guys have more experience than me. Should I get 32 bit or 64 bit?

Vista 64 has no compatibility issues with new hardware. You may find old components you have hanging around for years with bad driver support or no Vista driver support will not work. Things like old printers, wireless network cards, Creative sound cards, PCI cards, etc. that have long since been discontinued and the company has issued new, Vista supported editions. Vista 64 systems are all over the store shelves these days two years after Vista's release. I would not think of building a personal system that did not include Vista 64.

Vista 64 has everything you need to run your 32 applications.

WoW64 (Windows-on-Windows 64-bit) is a subsystem of the Windows operating system that is capable of running 32-bit applications and is included on all 64-bit versions of Windows
