can not hear people talking

hello i have a somewhaat weird problem wth my sound i currently have hd driver ver 6.01.5618 installed problem is when i watch a dvd movie (not all but the majority) the background sound is good but i can't hear the actors talk i can just barely barely hear them the setting are good mute off but like i said the majority of them are like that any suggestons

Please explain what HD driver is?

Also make sure you haven't enabled voice cancellation in you are referring to Realtek HD audio.

sound like you have selected 3.1 sound (or 5.1) and accyually pne have two speakers.

The center sound on DVDs are for mostly for voice.

This can and will happen if I have EAX or CMSS enabled on my Creative sound card. Switching back to entertainment mode and turning off any special effects fixes this for me.

HD driver is realteks high definition driver that came with my motherboard and no audio is not disabled

okay wut did u do man the same thing with me i can barley hear the people talkin but the background effects are all really good it cant figure it out anywere can u email me with some help on fixing it plz ? the movies are definatley not worth watching at all right now thanks alot .. ace5705@hotmail.com
