Best Linux Distro To Customize/Eye Candy

Just wondering if someone could help me out. I was just wondering what the best linux distro is to customize? I have tried linux mint & ubuntu ect.. I like the compiz effects & gadgets, however that's not satisfying enough!! I'm looking for techy/futuristic/animated user interfaces. a OS that will make me lol....I love eye candy crazy themes ect... I'm sure some of you get the point lol...kind of a weird question I know.

As that link states, any desktop environment can be installed on any distribution; you're hardly stuck with using the default.

KDE/Gnome/XFCE/LXDE can all be customized to look how you want them to. You may hate some, and love others. Our opinions of each may be the polar opposite of yours. Try them all.

Try Enlightenment as your Window manager, it's probably the most 'Game' like of all the ones I have tried.

Thank you everyone I think I'm just going to stick with Linux Mint 12, I believe it is the best distro linux anyone has ever created let alone the most elegant/stable release I have ever touched. All help much appreciated
