Can you play facebook apps and games on ubuntu

i want to install Ubuntu on my laptop but i wont if i cant play any games is the new version more user friendly

I don't see any reason why you wouldn't be able to. I don't think that any plugins would be required, and if they are, they should be available. I'd say it's more down to the browser than it is the distribution.

The newest versions of Ubuntu have been getting mixed reviews, so you may want to consider an alternative. Mint has matured nicely

I would suggest trying a LiveCD. You can still install any plugins that you may need, and then if it doesn't work you won't have had installed it. A Virtual Machine would work too.

If you mean any games then yes there are games. If you are looking for a specific game you may be out of luck. Some games can be played under wine. I have been able to get WoW running, but performance wasn't good enough for raiding.

I think he meant games on Facebook.

Wine will run most games, unless they're brand spankin' new. I've played WoW on Linux and it ran great, noticed no difference from Windows.

I can't believe you end game raided with wine and didn't see a marked difference in performance.

As far as Facebook goes, it should be fine.
