Just finished up my new build, I7-920 cpu, 6 gigs ocz platinum 10666 memory, vista 64 bit, asus p6t deluxe mobo, asus top 4850 gpu, wd 650 gig black edition hd

Did All my windows updates, updated my bios, updated my video drivers

The freekin comp runs so slow, sometimes it just locks up, my 2 year old runs tears this one up, i dont understand whats going?

MY resource monitor shows anywhere between 57-85% memory usage when Im doing almost nothing
What the heck?, i cant figure out why
HELP

Whats the deal with Bit Defender? 22047992 commit? whats that?
Also look at the Huge hard faults?

It sure looks like BitDefender is running wild. Shut it down and try another security suite for a while - if you don't want to buy another than just use AVG free until you sort this out.

If that does not solve your problem then let us know.

removed bit defender and added avg, looks allot better now, gonna keep watching tx

Always check to make sure you're running the latest version of your malware suite(s). Just because they update the virus definitions on their own doesn't mean they update the main program. If you've paid for BitDefender, I'd check their website to make sure you're running the latest version of the program. Anti-virus programs can be especially problematic under 64-bit Windows... some of them just don't work the way they should right out of the box.

I dl'd the 30 day free trial,

using avg now and everything seems allot better

For the memory, that normal. Vista will use it for caching and release it when apps need it. It a very efficient use of memory.
