Gpu for linux

Im trying to use an Emulator of Ps2 on linux to run my Resident Evil and Metal Gear cds, i have 2 gpus that i can use but i really dont know what brand is more compatible wi ubuntu, nvidia or amd?

Nvidia will generally give you significantly better results than ATI.
