Hey guys.

Recently I installed windows 7 beta and then reverted back to windows vista. When I did this change I recovered a lot of my files from the Windows.old file. The problem is that when I try to install JRE 6 update 16 32-bit, a windows pops up telling me that Java is already installed, and then asks Would you like to reinstall it? I click yes and it says, this option is only valid for installed software or whatever. I can install the 64-bit version of JRE 6 update 16, but I need the 32-bit version. I do have Vista Home basic 64-bit, but that shouldn't matter with java. I have tried everything to uninstall java that it says is already installed, I have downloaded revouninstaller, windows clean up utility, deleted hidden temporary files and the sun microsystems app data. I think I know why it's saying it is already installed when I try to reinstall it. When I restored my files from the windows.Old file, it had the logs of java installation in a hidden folder somewhere from before I reinstalled Vista. I found those logs last night in some file, but to be honest forgot where the file location was and I can't seem to find it now >.<, but even when I found them I couldn't delete them because it denied me access. I deleted the windows.Old file completely, but the file Daniel1, my old username in windows 7, is still on my harddrive.

If you know where I can find the files I need to delete to be able to reinstall this PLEASE TELL ME. Many Thanks in advance. :]
