Service Pack 1 install problems

OK so i am trying to install windows vista service pack 1 but for some reason it won't work. I need to install it for a game i bought.

When i try to install it through windows update it gives me this error: 8024200D

AND when i try to download the standalone version it gives me this error: 0x8007002

i have searched on the internet for solutions and so far none of them have worked....

does anyone know a solution to this?

give a bit of system info and youll stand a better chance of getting help.
Most likely it wants you to install something else before it can complete its task.
Read the info below the download button to see if it needs other requirements.

e6750dual core, 8800gts 4gb ram premium 32bit vista updated drivers etc

in the link for sp1 does it mention anything about other updates
that are needed prior to installation?
