I have this strange program called filenomate, that keeps checking itself at startup nomatter what I do almost instantly.
Its probably related to some kind of malicious software but I checked clean with AVG and Kaspersky.
I used several startup programs, and just as i uncheck it , it rechecks itself, if i deleted it appears again and so on.
The link is broken, so it practically does nothing but get an error message at startup.

Filenomate returns nil from google. Usually malicious software that returns nil results will be randomly named letters and / or numbers. This makes your case unusual as it resembles a legitimate filename or process.

You could use a tool such as winpatrol to monitor your startup processes and prevent them from further startup.

If you wish you could instead post a hijackthis log and we will review it. It is possible that hijackthis may be able to fix it for you.

Don't fix anything with hijackthis unless instructed as any incorrect fixes could leave your operating system unstable.

To run the program correctly with Vista right click and "Run as administrator", then click on the "Do a system scan and save a log file" button.

Post the contents of the notepad document back here.

Try going to Start, run, then type msconfig, then click on the selective startup button, then click on the startup tab, find that file, uncheck it and reboot. See if that helps at all.

Msconfig had it rechecked in seconds,

unfortunately so did win patrol, it would block the one instance, but a new one would be introduced with the same name in a matter of seconds,

It was undoubtedly the most annoyed thing I've ever seen, checked out with all scans ....

I ended up having to format which I was gonna do anyways as i got rid of my H.D.
