Hello,

I have a problem on a HP Pavilion ZD 7000, there is a short-circuit on the receptacle used to plug the external power supply.

Whe ne the problem has occured, I had not time to unplug the cable as some smoke as gone out the motherboard through the hloe of the receptable.

I've started to dismantle the notebook and then made some few test on thereceptacle on the motherboard which was clearly in short-circuit. I've finished to dismantle the PC and the motherboard to take of the receptacle. And now there's no more short circuit, on the motherboard or on the receptable either.

Has someone had such a problem who could help me ?

Best regards,

Guy
