ok On my device manager it says I have a acpi multi processor but down on the processor it says I have one, when I try to enable the HT on the bios the computer freezes when the windows xp logo with the lines exit. does it really matter with my northwood 2.6 ghz p4 have this HT on, would it make a difference? also I can get a mobo with amd 64x2 or intel for under 120, my system is a 478 with agp 8x. should I upgrade to it or get the hd3650 agp instead. please any help would be apreciated, thank you all

I'm not sure if this is relevant, but I suspect that if you want to use Windows with hyperthreading you have to install it with hyperthreading enabled. (It's a question of which HAL gets installed.) If this wasn't what was done, and you are trying to enable hyperthreading after installation, this might explain your problem.
