DVD: fix issues with some discs
DVD: improved main feature detection
Updated libbluray (0.0.1-pre-213-ga869da8, late May 2011)

Solution
In addition to so many, many, many other options that it's easy to overlook (the manpage is bit unwieldy), some of the target encoder types accept the "threads=N" option, some automatically try to make a reasonable guess before starting off, and some just don't support it at all.

: ))

I like HB, the quality is the best. Its easy to set it with plenty options.

I used mencoder, but it never re-ncode the quality, I can get out of the HB.

BTW, does the mencoder support multi-core encoding?

complete nonsense and misinformation. Handbrake and Mencoder both use the same encoder, x264.
Fact: You will get bit-bit identical files encoded with mencoder,handbrake,ffmpeg...etc with same x264 settings and same x264 revision.

Also handbrake/mencoder/libav/ffmpeg/super/megaipodvideoconverter And any other h264 encoder gui in existence supports threaded encoding... because they all call libx264 which has both frame based and slice based threading...

I agree, its just that I have saved my custom profiles.

I know, it is just a matter of preference.

I remember on Mencoder was some annoyance with start up....

That have turned me off from staying more close to it : ))

I hope its gone!
