File Association Problem

For months I have been playing streaming audio with Nero. Today it stopped working. I downloaded Winamp. Everytime I try to use it, I get the following. This file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action. Create an associtation in the set associations control panel.
Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.

Usually from within the program you are using you can control it.
Oterwise in the control panel set the default player in default programs|auto play

I uninstalled Winamp, now I can use Nero to listen to streaming audio. Why was it necessary to uninstall Winamp to be able to use Nero?

Prolly nero is set to be the default.
