Whenever I try to run the uninstaller for it on add/remove programs, I get an error message that says "The InstallScript engine is missing from this machine. If available, please run ISScript.msi". I found a solution on google where I would delete C:\Program Files\Common Files\InstallShield\Driver\7 and install ISScript7.msi and that would fix the other persons problem, but it didn't work for me... I also used the search function on my computer and it didn't find anything for norton ghost, nor did I have Symantec in my program files folder. Could me removing it from the program files folder have caused this problem? Any help is appreciated, thanks in advance.

If you have you original install discs, install, then use a program like revo uninstaller to remove all traces of the program.

Revo is a very good uninstaller (and free too!).

You can also use the Norton Removal tool (Symantec is the author) to remove Norton Ghost.

They advise you to save your key in case you want to reinstall it. If you don't want to do this there is no need to copy down the key details, just run the removal tool.

Well, I couldn't get the Norton Removal Tool to work, but the Revo Uninstaller program did the trick. Thanks a lot.
