Insufficient system resources

When I try to put my system in hibernation, I frequently get the message "insufficient system resources exist to complete this API". My only alternative is to kill the power to the computer. I have 2.5GB of RAM and more than 35GB of unused space on drive C:. I have recently defragmented the C: drive and I have used drive cleanup. Any suggestions?

ive never been a fan of hibernating meself, if your putting it to sleep might aswell hit the power switch instead.

Look on your MB product page for a possible BIOS update that addresses any 'sleep' issues. Read your MB forum for possible fixes.

I went to the Microsoft web site that Montyuk suggested. It said the problem occurs when the RAM is increased beyond 1GB. As a matter of fact, I recently increased my 1GB RAM to 2.5GB. I downloaded the update and it seems to work properly. Thank you very much.
