I just got my replacement RMA 8800 GTS 320 from evga, and just like the last one this one is giving nv4dsp.dll loop errors. It is also artifacting some video sources and pictures.

Anyone else having these issues?
I have tried the new 158.22 drivers, I tried the 75.5 drivers from the cd, and I am stuck.

my specs:
WXP Pro SP2
Opteron 170 @ 2.2GHz
2GB dual channel DDR ram
8800 gts 320 OC
100GB sata
sound blaster audigy 2
Seasonic S12 80+ 650Watts power supply
viewsonic VX924

I really wish that this is a driver issue as I do not want to RMA the card again.

and the card is not the same as my original as per the serial number.

Any advice?

Did you do a google search for this problem? There seem to be a lot of people out there with similar issues. What you could try is loacte the dll file and copy it to a test folder, then install a previous driver after that. Mostly during installation of drivers newer version files do not get replaced. This way you can be sure that the dll file is also an older version if there is any ofcourse. If for any reason you get "unable to locate NV4dsp.dll" errors you can always replace the original file from your test folder.

I actually had the same thing with my 8800 gtx ..turned out its an AA problem.. i seem to have to turn it down a notch if your game's highest
setting for AA is 4x then turn it to 2x ..if its 8x then 4x...etc..
Dont ask me why..i just found a similar post in a forum regarding world
of warcraft and AA problem giving that message (it did the same when i had F.E.A.R on AA 4x) so i turned it down to 2x and all's good now.

give it a try.

remember that in most cases this artifacting thingy occurs when your vga card is overheated or it is dying (due to any reason)
this is an indication of the above
this is what i know and from my experience
