Hi, when windows vista updated after I shut down my computer, there was no video signal going to the screen when I turned the computer back on. This happened last time windows updated, and my computer was unusable for 2 weeks. Then it just started working again.
I hear the post beeps (they are the same when the computer is working normally) when I turn the computer on. All the fans, for the case, cpu, and video card, spin. The hard drive light on the front panel flashes, and the power light stays on. Everything seems to be working except there is no video signal.
I have tried leaving the computer on for about 2 hours and unplug all the peripherals. I have took out my video card and tried using the onboard graphics. I have taken one stick of ram out ( I only have two.) Also, there is no dvd in my dvd burner.
It seems like alot of people have this problem. I have read their forums and none of the answers are working for me. It is werid because a windows update shouldn't affect the computer going into bios.
