Hello,
I have an old VAIO VGN-S460 that has been upgraded to 4 GB ram. I am running Ubuntu on it and it does really well without any effects turned on. I really like the form factor, keyboard and size, but the HDD is crapping out, the battery is dead and it runs a little hot.
here are the specs on it: http://www.superwarehouse.com/Sony_VAIO_S460_B/VGN-S460_B/p/609212
My question is should I spend ~ 70 bucks on a new SSD because I am getting bad clusters and read/write problems on boot, or should I save my money up for a whole new laptop?
