Hello i was wondering i recently bought this gaming laptop from gateway that im loving but im scared cause now days the OEM's arent Including CD's anymore. I have a Serial thats legit but id like the OEM Gateway cd. Ive looked on torrents but all i can find is like Ultimate Vista OEM cd's that do like all manufactures. Does anyone have link for home Premium Gateway cd?

Thanks

Mike,

They expect you to create your own recovery disks these days. I have been searching for a disk myself, as my recovery management program got corrupted somewhere along the way. The Gateway tech guy is mailing me a disk that he says will do a "clean" install, without all the trial software that came with the PC. But I also learned that one Vista disk is the same as the next. It may say Ultimate, but each disk has ALL versions of Vista on it, and the installation is dependent on your license key, as to which version will install. All that to say that if you can get your hands on an Ultimate disk, then you should be able to install Home Premium from it. Here is also a link to some instructions I came across to help with this. The instructions are very lengthy and sound like a lot of trouble. If you can get the disk, go for that. But there may be some info in here to help you. http://forum.notebookreview.com/sh [...] p?t=120228
Good luck!
Kelly
