XP quick launch icon weird changes???

has anyone noticed an update lately that may have changed quick launch icons? is this an update of some sort or do i have something of a bigger issue. i used a virus and malware checker and it came back with no infections.

internet explorer E now has image of red spider?
windows media player looks like two black arrows in a circular motion
show desktop is monitor with a blue i
winamp changed to a green star with a 4 in the lower right corner
AIM icon changed to a larger version of windows live messenger icon

Register or log in to remove.

Right click on the icon in the quick launch and select properties. Goto the shortcut tab and then click on change Icon. From there you can change it back to what it is supposed to be.
What changed it I don't know? Maybe someone playing a joke or some kind of malware/virus - yes I know your scan came up clean, doesn't mean it IS clean.

thanks for the reply it was malware of some sort i deleted a game trainer i recently downloaded and when i restarted the icon were normal again.
