Hi badge,
On a fun note I'm in a wheelchair now, but I spent a lot of years using a walking frame, so your picture is more than apt.

What E? Do you have a sound card?

Hii badge,
Soundmax intergrated digital HD audio. I was told if I had a seperate card I would'nt be able to use my front connections for earphones etc. As I can't get to the rear of my PC thought this would be best option for me.Still get the max Vista rating 5.9.

A driver or service has stopped working would be my best guesstimate. Perhaps reinstall the correct sound or video card driver. Is the message associated with a problem or a system component/function not reponding, stopping or otherwise crashing the system? I would be sure to have all the correct latest drivers installed for the MB. Did this just begin to happen or has it been there since you built/had the machine built?

Now the PC will not update the Vista score, it gets halfway though then stops,. I've updated all drivers today. I started getting the problem with the (Licence Sync Service 9X-Fi MB) has stopped working) a couple of days ago, I received the PC a week ago. I'm trying to avoid a DMA as I'm disabled & I'll have to pay someone to come in & box up for me.

Have you tried system restore to a point before the message began appearing. What does the person/company support say when you mention there is a problem and you may need to return?

I'm sure your right I'll contact the company support on Monday. Tried system restore, no help.
Thanks for all your help.

Ask about it here on the ASUS product page forum for your MB:

Do you have sound? There is only one driver for the SupremeFX X-Fi sound card. I would reinstall it.

Is this the only error you are getting, the Service 9X-FiMB error? Does the system ever blue screen/crash?
