Right click not working on mouse

My right click on my mouse isn't working on pages. I can get it to work on just the desk top you know were it will let you personalize and and change graphics options, But not on regular pages where I try to highlight something then copy and paste, it won't do anything. I'm working on Vista home and I don't have the windows 7 update yet. Thank you
