How do you explain the differences in the router charts refrence of simultaneous connections and the manufacturers claim of conncurant connections.
For example the Dlink cp310 just added the test lists 96 simultaneous conntection.
Dlinks manual lists the unit capable of 8000 concurrant connections

Very simple the manual lies. Your 56 mbps connection is actually 28 mbps with no interference. Think of your source. I trust independent claims and benchmarks.
