Oh my god!!!

Installed a fresh copy of Vista on a new HD in my laptop. Everything went fine, but at some point, after installing the ~75 updates, it is now to the point where if I reboot my system from the desktop, the little scrolling bars (green ones that go across the screen), do about 1/2 a cycle, then I see the BSOD for like 1/4 second, and it crashes.

HOWEVER, if I power down my system and turn it back on, everything loads and works fine.

Any clue what could have caused this?

Thanks!
