Shift keys don't work on sony laptop

the shift keys don't work on my laptop. running vista. i have checked the device manager for any hardware updates. i plug in a usb keyboard and the shift keys work on that. i have blown out the keyboard with air to ensure there isn't anything under the keys. any other ideas...

look on sony's site for any keyboard drivers for your laptop. you might have to install those. alot of times, for laptops, there are special drivers that need to be installed to make use of custom keys such as the Fn keys.

i can't guarantee this will work for sure, but it's worth a shot, otherwise, you might just have bum shift keys.
