I have the AE2500 wireless usb stick and need help making it work for Ubuntu...PLEASE! :cry:

What hardware revision is your ae2500? R3 is the only revision supported by native linux drivers. If it is R1 or R2 you must use ndiswrapper+windows driver.

post output of 'lspci -vnn'

Honestly this chipset (a specific broadcom chipset) is troublesome, all over internet is posts of people *not* getting it to work
if you have the chance... return it for something like this:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...
^uses ralink instead of broadcom.
