Limewire won't open from desktop

first im surprised people are still using limewaire as it is the best place to get a virus. because of this i would do a virus scan.

besides that does it open when you select limewire from within the start menu? maybe all you have to do is manually recreate the shortcut from the desktop. other than all this i cannot think of anything else as you did not tell us what verson of windows you are running or any errors messages if any
