Run file in Unix?
how to run the exe file in unix
Windows .exe files don't run natively on Linux. But, in some/many cases, there is a Linux package called "wine" that allows you to run Microsoft Windows applications under Linux.
But before installing wine, I would ask myself the following questions:
1. Do I really want/need this application (or what it does)?
2. Is there a native Linux application that does the same job as the Windows application?
3. If there is no comparable Linux application, will the Windows app work under wine?
If you share with us the name of the Windows application, it might help to answer questions 2 and 3. The wine project has a list of Windows applications that have been tested. You may want to search for that.
Also tell us which Linux distribution you are using.
