I was just wondering how safe it is to update your bios. I'm pretty new to computers, I've built them but never had to update bios before. I want to update my bios so my motherboard can handle a better processor.

So long as you follow your motherboard manufacturers BIOS update instructions, you'll be OK.

BIOS updates are only scary because of the potential damage if done wrong but when done correctly rarely cause problems.
