OS installation ideas

Hello,
I have a laptop that i wish to install ubuntu on. It has a hard drive partition tat is blankand could e used, but I was wondering if it is possible to install a linux o with out a CD, USB or Floppy as I have none of these useable currenty. An idea for this could be a piece of software that does it such as that of Jolicloud?

If your laptop can boot from a network, then that is an option. Otherwise, you have to remove the drive from the laptop, connect it to another computer somehow, and then try to install Linux, which has some issues with it. Your configuration might be different from what it would be had it been installed on that laptop, and while it can be fixed, it'd take a little doing.
