How can i create a labeled cd with lightscribe? can i use just a normal CD or i need a special CD?

You have to use certified discs for it. They have a special coating on the surface that allows the laser to inscribe on them.

Most CD media is Lightscribe capable. Just look for the logo.

hmm,and i heard they cost about 50p per cd?right now i'm using tdk cds but i dont think they're LS capable.I was just curious about it,and wanted to try.

Do you think nero would be the best option for that then?

Nero works pretty good.

You might have to install the Lightscribe for Nero if it doesn't already have it.
Just go to the Lightscribe website and download it.
I really like the Lightscribe CDs, you should buy one, and see if you like it.
If you find that you do, then buy a whole spindle of them.
Just beware that the laser takes a long time to burn the surface, sometimes even more than it takes to burn the data.

Ok.I just think LS would be really cool,shame it's on black & white? maybe the future...
I have read that it takes between 20 and 30 mins
I think now all the cd's should be supporting LS,even if you dont want to use it.but thats how they make the cash

It's not entirely black and white. By using different base colors on the CD, you have a few options. But it's still just black and then the base CD color.

Yeah it's just a grayscale, and the problem is that there are 2 competing technologies:
Lightscribe and Labelflash, once one is the clear winner (which I think Lightscribe is) the media should come down in price even more.
