A little while ago (a couple months) I remember reading about a beta product microsoft was working on to work with legacy programs for windows vista - was able to emulate XP when installing programs.

I can't find that article anymore and i'm trying to get some older programs to run on vista and I'd really like to find this article or product from microsoft.

I know it was on Toms and other sites but I can't find it now,
anyone remember this. Unfortunately, google hasn't helped me.

dont remember but you caould always use something like VirtualBox to set up a VM to use old Windows Programs, alternatively dual boot.
