I have a dell 1210 laptop taht was full of viruses so i decided to reformat. i used all the disks that came with the laptop and followed the down load. now when i try to get on the net there is no lan or wireless to connect with. does anyone have any ideas to help me fix this? i would like to give it to my mother to use to check her mail and play solitaire.

Do you have any entries in Device Manager with yellow exclamation points on them? If so, you still have missing or incorrect drivers still.

Go in to BIOS and enable the LAN.

Just install the drivers and utility cd in your laptop if no go to www.dell.com and search the drivers for lan and Wireless
