When I put in Windows XP the button where it says "install" is grayed out so I can't click it =( why is this and how do I fix it so I can put windows xp back on my computer. I have Windows 7 at the moment...

Register or log in to remove.

Boot from the Windows XP CD, delete the partition, format as NTFS and reinstall XP.

Yea, you can't install windows from within windows no matter what version.

I disagree Sturm. You can DOWNGRADE windows from within windows, but you can UPGRADE. For the poster to go from Windows 7 to anything else, they will have to boot off the CD and go through a new install including deleting and recreating the partition(s).
