I need help, need to get my files back

I recently did a windows system restore by pressing f11 because i had installed a bad driver, it said it would not delete any files but now all my files are gone, how do i reverse this, and if i cant where did it store my files, is there any way to get them back? heres another topic i made on another site askn for help, i just want to make sure i get every ones opinion first. http://www.pchelpforum.com/windows-xp-2000/60591-reverse-system-restore.html

id reckon the files still exist, although you might need some file recovery software, just to get you going try - handyrecovery.com - and download their free trial version of their software, then run it and see if it finds your files, at least then you will know they are there (i bought this program a while back and its pretty easy to use)

im sure someone else can recommend other programs that do the same job.

I did it but i cant find my files..... , il try using my last checkpoint first
