Folder was locked and pc got formatted

i have a simple problem. i was going out of town for two weeks. so i locked all my important document with instant lock in drives. in between my pc got some problem so my brother formatted c drive without asking me , now when i tried to look for files that were lock by folder . i cannot find it . how this can happen as only c drive was formatted . so how can file in d drive is not visible to me. i cant find it anywhere. i tried reinstalling instant lock but it does detect the lock folder. please help as it contain very important document thanks
