Im considering installing Vista Service Pack 2 Release Candidate 2 and also IE8 RC1 but Im still concerned they may not be quite ready and will mess up my system. I wouldn't mind so much if system backup and restore would work properly but I have tried a few restores and they failed though on one occasion it gave me a fail error but still sorted my problem. It would be nice to get feedback from different people to let me know if its safe to go ahead or if I should wait for the proper releases.

SP2 isn't really anything special
not allot of huge changes
But i've been running the beta of SP2 (including RC) and it runs fine
if you feel you want to, go for it.
just remember that if you have a hacked themes, you will need different .dll files to replace them with
