how do i connect a router to my modem for my second pc

Unplug the power from the modem, move the ethernet cable from your PC to the Internet port of the router, connect an ethernet cable from 1 LAN port on the router to the PC, power up the modem, power up the router and start surfing. Connect the second PC to a LAN port on the router.
