ESPN2 - HD and the Dish Network

I saw something on ESPN a month back that said ESPN2 would be in HD
soon. I checked google and found some results that said January 6,
2005, ESPN2 would start transmitting in HD.
I called the Dish Network and talked with a tech. He said they might
get it, but he had no information as yet. Jan. 6th was only a few
days ago. He mentioned Dish may be working a contract with ESPN to
get ESPN2 to be added to the Dish Networks list of HD stations.

Dish Network always teases you when there answer is really "no".
It's already been announced that HD-ESPN-2 will be on Adelphia Cable and
DirecTV.

I never heard a tease from Dish possiblily offering ESPN2 HD maybe I
missed that one.
On the January Charlie Chat earlier tonight Charlie said they were
going to carry it, he did not give a firm date just said it would on a
current Sat and will not have to wait to be placed on a future
satellite, so Harry that was a real enlightened statement from you
wasn't it. I think you really removed all doubt on that one.
With MPEG4 recievers on the way I'd bet there will be much more HD by
late in 05 from Dish with ESPN2 avaliable long before that.
