Higher wattage uses more electricity?

Hello,
looking to purchase Blendtec total Blender Wildside, uses wattage: 1560 compared to Vitamix Prep 3 1005 wattage: 1200. Yet it is stated smoother drinks with Vitamix, yet Blendtec is more efficient. Trying to understand. Also which more energy efficient.

Get one of those electricity usage meter that plugs to your power outlet e.g.:

Run the blender and record the power drawn and timed the time used to make a smoothie.

Repeat three time for an average.

Repeat with the other blender.

Multiply the power used with the time.

The blender with lower result is more efficient.
