I need some advise if you can help please.
I am converting my vids to .avi from MPEG2 to enable me to edit them on Windows Movie Maker 2. After I have converted them I can watch them on Windows Media Player and the sound and picture quality is spot on, but the problem is that after I have edited them on Windows Movie Maker 2, I can't get any picture on Windows Media Player! The sound is good, but no picture? It is as though Movie Maker is doing something to them to stop me watching them on WMP!
I tried uploading one to YouTube to see if the picture would come through, but it didn't.

I have looked on the net and it is recommending a codex or something???
