hey i have a IDE hard drive with 3 partisions currently on XP pro installed on C:
, i wanna wipe xp and install vista on the C:/
if i format c and install vista there will i lose any data on the 2 other partisions ?
after installing vista will i have to format the other partisions aswell or no ?

No, as long as you don't wipe out the wrong partition by mistake.

No.

It always is a good idea to backup your data. Hard disks can fail and mistakes do happen.
