What causes one's quick launch icons (in XP) to quit appearing? Also, Norton has to be manually started after each boot up now, but started automatically before.

Right click on the bottom toolbar on your desktop and select Toolbars and check Quick Launch. Norton may not be set to start at start up. Open 'Run' command and type in msconfig. Click the startup tab. Norton or Symantec or similiar should be checked to run at startup. Norton will have a 'run at startup' feature in the program software.
