i have the monitor philips 19 size 190x6
Philips features a resolution of 1280 x 1024 pixels

and i want to buy a new video card 8800

which 8800 must i buy;;

for to play the newest games; in 2008;


320 mb;

640 mbs

or 8800 768 gtx;;



or to wait for the 9800 will come in december;;

and i dont know which card must i buy;;

can you help me please;; for to buy one card which will be good

and it will works good with my monitor;

i dont want to waste money for one card i dont need
please;;

Hi, can't say anything about games in 2008 but for now, with your resolution, any of those cards will work great. I believe that at lower resolutions the rest of your system (CPU, memory, chipset) will be more of a bottleneck than the graphicscard.
Also what are you using now? Are you allready running into problems now or are you still able to play all your games well? If you can afford to wait untill christmas for the 9800 (anybody else find this numbering hard to believe :p ) i can't imagine you're running into great issues allready.
Choose wisely :wink:
 
The 8800320 would suit you in that rez. At the prices for this card, save youre money on it, then buy a better DX10 card down the line. I would remind anyone that speaks of Terraflops etc, its a nice number, for folding at home anyways, not as good for gaming.

Jaydee, maybe it was a little confusing but what i meant with numbering was the "9800" that everybody seems to have adopted for NV's new card. ATI would have something to say about that for sure :p
