Cleeve,

I recently put together the budget system you guys built in the beginning of May with only a few minor changes. I added one more gig of ram and a bigger harddrive. The computer runs great, but I am having trouble with the sound. I can get sound from plugging my speakers into the front port on my Centurion case, but I can't get any sound from the back plug-in. Do you have any suggestions? I installed the latest driver and am running Windows Vista Home Premium. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

AMD Athlon X2 3800+
MSI K9N4 Ultra-F
Wintec AMPO PC2-6400 2 GB
Samsung 200 GB, 7200 RPM, 8 MB Cache, Sata 300
XFX GeForce 7600 GT
Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!!

Check the BIOS to make sure the audio card is enabled, probably is since you're getting audio from the case plugs. Check you audio software to make sure the rear is not muted or it's not set to run from a different connector, e.g., headphones. Make sure you're plugging them into the correct connector, should be the Green one
