How do I change GPU fan plug from 12v to 5v?

I just bought the MSI 8600 GTS OC for my new PC. It is reviewed here:

The fan is extremely loud because it runs at 100% all the time, even when sitting on the desktop. Ive read a few reviews that mention this also. Someone said that changing the fan plugs on the card from 12v to 5v kept the temps the same but got rid of the noise.

How do I change the fan plug from 12v to 5v?!?

Any help is very much appreciated!! I want to try to fix this noise problem before returning the card for something else!

I got the idea of changing to 5v from this review on Newegg. Alot of people mentioned the fan is loud, and one reviewer had this to say:

"Cons: 12V fan is a little bit loud, but not a problem when you switch the plugs on the video card to 5V. Temps didn't change for me but noise is now gone."

Im just wondering how to do this.

cant u just use riva tuner and set the fan speed down??
