Sometimes it stops and asks me for a dvd driver, which is silly since it used the dvd to boot the install. I can sometimes get by this the first time I try to install per boot.

But then when I get to the hard disk screen, it won't let me format my raid partition claiming some error. I thought I needed to load the raid driver, but doing so freezes the install.

My computer has nothing but SATA and SAS hookups, and so my DVD uses a SAS port. The problem also seemed to go away when I set the system to AHCPI mode instead of raid mode, but then I can't use raid.

How can I fix this?

Does it work if you connect the DVD to a SATA port?
